Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of OzBookings and any booking you make through us. By using the site or making a booking, you agree to them.
1. About OzBookings
OzBookings ("we", "us", "our") is an online travel service operated as a sole trader in Australia (ABN 00 000 000 000). We help you compare accommodation prices and book directly with properties. We act as an intermediary and booking facilitator; we are not the accommodation provider. Live inventory, pricing, and reservations are provided through our distribution partner LiteAPI (Nuitee) and its connected suppliers.
2. Using the service
You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter a binding contract. You agree to provide accurate guest information and to use the service only for lawful, personal, or legitimate travel-booking purposes.
3. Accounts and membership
You can browse and book as a guest. Creating a free account is optional and unlocks member rates, saved trips, and faster checkout. You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for activity under your account. Member rates are available only while signed in and may vary by property and date.
4. Prices and payment
Prices are shown in Australian dollars (AUD) unless stated otherwise and include applicable taxes and fees unless noted at checkout. The price shown at the time of booking is the price that applies. Comparison prices (shown as the "typical" rate - the hotel's typical or suggested selling price supplied by our rate provider, not a live quote from any third-party booking site) are indicative and are shown to illustrate potential savings; they may change at any time. Your booking is confirmed once you receive a booking reference.
5. Cancellations and refunds
Each rate carries the cancellation policy set by the property, which is shown clearly before you book:
- Free cancellation rates can be cancelled without charge up to the deadline shown on the rate. Cancel before that time for a full refund.
- Non-refundable rates cannot be changed or refunded once booked, except where required by law.
To cancel or change a booking, contact us at support@ozbookings.com with your booking reference, or use the link in your confirmation email. Approved refunds are returned to your original payment method, typically within 5 to 10 business days, subject to the property and payment provider. Where a property charges a cancellation fee under its policy, that fee is deducted from any refund.
6. Your responsibilities
Please review the property's terms, check-in and check-out times, and any occupancy or ID requirements before booking. Guest names on the booking should match the travellers. You are responsible for any charges incurred at the property (for example incidentals, deposits, or damage).
7. Liability
We take care to present accurate information, but we do not control the properties or suppliers and cannot guarantee that every listing, price, or amenity is error-free at all times. To the extent permitted by law, our liability for any claim relating to a booking is limited to the value of that booking. Nothing in these terms excludes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law.
8. Intellectual property
The OzBookings name, logo, design, and content are owned by us or our licensors and may not be copied or used without permission.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The current version is always available on this page with its "last updated" date. Continued use of the service after changes means you accept the updated terms.
10. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Australia and the state in which the business is registered. Disputes are subject to the courts of that jurisdiction.
